2022 municipal election is officially underway, as the deadline to file nomination papers for any position on Georgina council closed Aug. 19.

Here’s the list of candidates running for Georgina town council.

Mayor:

Regional councillor:

Ward 1:

Ward boundaries: Glenwoods Avenue/Dovedale Drive to the north; Ravenshoe Road to the south; McCowan Road to the east; and Lake Simcoe and the town’s westerly boarder to the west.
