Avoid traffic jams before they occur: The Ministry of Transportation has scheduled 22 closures in York Region on Aug. 23 for roadwork on Highway 400, Highway 404, Highway 427 and Highway 48.

• Highway 400 northbound at Langstaff Road: one left lane closed until Aug. 26 at 5 a.m.
• Highway 400 northbound between Bass Pro Mills Drive and Rutherford: two right lanes closed until Aug. 26 at 6 a.m.
• Highway 400 northbound between King Road and Aurora Road: two alternating lanes closed until Aug. 27 at 9 a.m.
• Highway 400 northbound between King Road and Highway 9: two alternating lanes closed until Aug. 29 at 7 a.m.
• Highway 400 northbound express at Langstaff Road: three alternating lanes closed from Aug. 23 at 11:59 p.m. until Aug. 26 at 5 a.m.
• Highway 400 northbound express at Langstaff Road: three alternating lanes closed until Aug. 23 at 5 a.m.
• Highway 400 southbound between Aurora Road and King Road: two alternating lanes closed until Aug. 27 at 5 a.m.
