Canada’s Wonderland Is Opening Up ‘Splash Works’ Today After It Was Shut Down Because Of A Fire ---- That Destroyed A Few Water Slides

After a flame broke out and blazed through Splash Works, in the northwest part of Canada’s Wonderland, on Sunday, the park is set to reopen.

The fire broke out at 10:45 p.m., and damaged a pump house as well as a few slides, but were all quickly doused, reported Vaughan fire.

No injuries have been reported.

Despite the fire only consuming parts of Splash Works, the entire park was quickly evacuated as a “precaution due to the blowing smoke.”

Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshall is now investigating and will “be looking at all possible sources of origin.”
