A 29-year-old man is facing several charges after York Regional Police say approximately 18 cars at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan were found with slashed tires.

Const. Amy Boudreau told CityNews 680 that officers were called to the park at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday by someone who said they saw what was happening.

She said officers and security personnel from Canada’s Wonderland found the man. He was subsequently taken into custody by police.

Boudreau said the man was charged with possession of a weapon, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, and 18 counts of mischief under $5,000.

She said the accused was expected to make his first appearance in court on Monday.
