Seniors looking to become more tech-savvy, can now let Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) act as their guide.
VPL is offering programs and services like Tech Intros, a 15-minute one-on-one session that introduces seniors to digital resources such as LinkedIn, Zoom and Brainfuse. The sessions take place in the Civic Centre Resource Library and interested participants can register online.
The continued learning resource is part of VPL’s extended community outreach for senior citizens. Library staff can help by:
Teaching a library-related skill or resource (e.g., downloading ebooks, and accessing medical information in their databases);
Providing basic computer training;
Providing a program (e.g., book discussion);
Promoting and explaining library services and collections that would be of interest;
And supporting existing programming with displays, resources and information.
If you would like to arrange for any of these outreach services, please contact your local branch at 905-653-READ (7323).
