It doesn't get much worse than this.
Edward Lake, the husband of Jennifer Neville-Lake and father-of-three children who were killed by drunk driver Marco Muzzo in Vaughan in 2015, was found dead June 20. He died by suicide, yorkregion.com has learned.
One day before, Father's Day, Neville-Lake shared a post on Twitter with a picture of the children's graves, with a message of grief.
"Father's Day 2022. This shouldn't be real. It can't be," the tweet read.
It was in September 2015 the children were killed while returning to their Brampton home via Vaughan.
Jennifer Neville-Lake is from Richmond Hill and her parents were hosting the three children, Daniel, 9, Harry, 5 and Milly, 2, at their King home prior to the crash.
Gary Neville, Jennifer's father, was killed as well, and her mother and grandmother were badly injured during the ordeal.
Following the crash, the case garnered nationwide media attention and Muzzo was eventually handed the harshest sentence for a first-time offender in a drunk driving case.
He was granted full parole in 2021.
