June is a month to celebrate individuality and to encourage movement and Newmarket has plenty of both.
The town has announced a lineup of activities and in-person events to honour unique Indigenous histories, foster water safety, recognize the talent of older artists and help build a community that is inclusive and accessible.
“During the month of June, we come together to celebrate our shared individuality and movement,” Mayor John Taylor said.
“It’s wonderful that we can come together in person once again to acknowledge these important moments and to help welcome people of all ages, races and backgrounds to feel like Newmarket is a community where you belong. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to celebrate with us, or on their own this June.”
Here is a list of ways you can take part:
- National AccessAbility Awareness Week, on until June 4. The town is encouraging residents and business owners to build a community that is inclusive and accessible, which enriches the lives of all.
