York Region hosts public info session on how residents can help Ukrainian newscomers

York Region is inviting residents who want to help Ukrainian newcomers to a one-hour public information session May 26.

The Local Immigration Partnership and COSTI Immigrant Services will host the live session on Zoom offering information on how residents can get involved in resettlement efforts and the various support services available for displaced Ukranians.

The presentation runs from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and includes a question and answer period.

The region has also created a web page at york.ca/supportukraine specifically to gather information for all Ukrainians resettling.
