York Region’s new webpage to help guide and support displaced Ukrainians

The Regional Municipality of York is helping to coordinate efforts to support people arriving from Ukraine. This includes reaching out to partners to share information and coordinate programs and services.

The Region’s new york.ca/SupportUkraine webpage will help connect displaced Ukrainians arriving in York Region with information, services and supports to help them get settled. A copy of the Region’s Newcomer Guide, translated into Ukrainian, is also available and has information about financial, transit, housing and community supports newcomers settling in the Region can access.

York Region is also hosting a virtual information session on May 26, at 7 p.m. for residents, community organizations and businesses who want to help those arriving from Ukraine.
