Disney star Adassa will perform favourite songs from the hit movie “Encanto” when Vaughan Pizza Fest returns this June after a pandemic-induced hiatus.

After a greatly scaled-down event in 2020 and skipping 2021, Pizza Fest is back with even more food and dessert vendors, and a jam-packed music and comic entertainment lineup that will have guests laughing, dancing and singing along.

The event, presented by La Piazza Wood Ovens, will run June 17 to 19 outdoors at the Improve Canada plaza on Keele Street north of Steeles Avenue West near Hwy. 407.

Headlining act Adassa -- who voiced Dolores in the Golden Globe and Oscar-winning “Encanto” -- will be singing songs from the film, including the smash hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” in an afternoon performance on Saturday, June 18. She will also be meeting fans for a free autograph signing and photo opportunity session.

Evening performances on Friday and Saturday at Pizza Fest will feature Joe Avati, the Australian Italian comic, who still holds the record for the fastest-selling comedy show in Canada, selling out a show in Toronto in less than 10 minutes.

Also performing will be Canadian comic Lu Sicilianu Raggiatu and Toronto’s Roberta Battaglia, the singing prodigy, who placed fourth on “America’s Got Talent” at the age of 10.
