Driver allegedly leaves scene after collision with e-bike in Vaughan

Investigators with York Regional Police are seeking the driver of suspect vehicle involved in a serious fail-to-remain collision in Vaughan.

On May 17, police were called to Cortelucci Vaughan Hospital for an injured person report.

According to police, an 18-year-old man from Vaughan had been riding an e-bike on Jane Street, in the area of Auto Vaughan Drive, at around 8:45 p.m. on May 16, when he was hit by a dark-grey Kia SUV.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a woman, did not remain at the scene, police said.

Police are seeking witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, to please come forward.
