Cyclist sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries after collision with pickup truck in Vaughan

York Regional Police is seeking witnesses following a serious collision in Vaughan that sent a cyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to the intersection of Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive for reports that an adult on a bicycle had been struck by a vehicle around 5 p.m. May 14.

The 29-year-old man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of a 2021 grey Dodge Ram pickup truck remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dashcam video from the area is asked to please come forward.

Investigators have opened a digital evidence portal where members of the community can upload any photos, video surveillance or dashcam video of the collision.
