The Town of Aurora is participating in the third-annual Canadian Women in Cybersecurity event hosted by siberX and held in York Region on May 4 and 5.
“As the world begins to move forward and emerge from the devastating pandemic, the fight for talent continues and advancing the talent in cybersecurity is a crucial step to ensure Canada’s competitiveness in the workforce,” a media release said.
The event’s goal is to highlight diversity in the cybersecurity workforce by educating people across generations and cultures.
“As the town continues to engage businesses and our workforce in Aurora, I am pleased to be a part of the growing emphasis in supporting technology and talent development. We are proud to partner with strong organizations to bring cybersecurity opportunities and awareness to the town,” said Aurora Mayor Tom Mrakas.
