Kleinburg Tennis Club set to open May 1 at Bindertwine Park in Woodbridge

Event starts at 10 a.m. and snacks, drinks, and prizes will be offered

The Kleinburg Tennis Club is set to open May 1 at the Bindertwine Park tennis courts, where the club will hold a social tennis round robin.

Snacks, refreshments, prizes and tips from tennis professionals will be offered at the opening event that starts at 10 a.m.

According to Rick Bertozzi, president of the club, its mission is to encourage and promote the game of tennis in the community for all age and skill levels, in an inclusive, diverse, safe, friendly, and fun environment.

Also, tennis provides an opportunity for kids and adults to get physical activity and exercise.

The club formed in the 1980s and became incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in 2014. It is led by non-paid board of directors and volunteers.
