Markham Public Library is pleased to announce that the Cornell Library will reopen on Friday, April 29 with select hours and services.

Customers can enjoy in-person services such as browsing and borrowing from the physical collection and they may also use any seating available in the branch. However, patrons are reminded to maintain social distancing at all times.

The study rooms are now open for bookings and use, but food and drinks are currently not permitted. Computers and printers are also available for customers to reserve and use.

Another piece of good news is that the children’s area is open with limited seating. In addition, the library is planning a number of outdoor, in-person programs, which you can explore and register for online.

To keep the facility clean and safe, the library reminds everyone to sanitize their hands when entering and exiting the library as well as before and after using the computers.

Cornell Library will be Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note, the branch will be monitoring its occupancy, so you may have to wait your turn before going inside.

More services are anticipated to become available later in the spring. To find out more, visit markhampubliclibrary.ca.
