The City of Vaughan’s website -- vaughan.ca -- is your one-stop shop for City services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And that includes the ability to submit, track and pay for all types of building and engineering permits online!

Throughout the global COVID-19 pandemic, teams across the organization have provided a variety of virtual resources, making it even easier and more efficient to access City services and programs. Even as more municipal facilities prepare to reopen, these robust online services continue to be offered and expanded.

Through Service Vaughan, the City’s online reporting tool, citizens and industry professionals can conveniently apply, submit, track and pay for their permits all at the click of a button. A variety of building services and engineering permits are available through the platform, including infrastructure engineering drawing requests, pool inspection requests, pool permit renewals, development permits, grading permits, development charge estimates and more. Residents can also request a copy of their home survey, apply for a permit to construct a deck or a pool and use the online development charge estimator tool before signing a new lease.

In addition to applying for permits, visitors can go to vaughan.ca/ServiceVaughan to apply for a job; buy waste bins and tags; register for recreation programs; report missed waste collection; report road maintenance, including potholes; pay parking tickets; report litter/graffiti; request tree pruning and shrub maintenance; request park or splashpad maintenance and so much more.
