Ever wonder how much money the elected officials of Stouffville make? The Town just released its council statement of remuneration for 2021.

Mayor Iain Lovatt topped with salary of $156,312, $96,685 of which comes from the Town of Stouffville while the remaining $59,627 comes from York Region. Ward 1 Coun. Ken Ferninands, Ward 2 Coun. Maurice Smith, Ward 3 Coun. Hugo Kroon, Ward 4 Coun. Rick Upton, Ward 5 Coun. Richard Bartley and Ward 6 Coun. Sue Sherban all received an annual salary of $47,972.

Lovatt and the six councillors all received a car allowance of $8,996 from the town.

Lovatt incurred $18,714 in public relation expenses. Coun. Ferdinands had $965.23; Coun. Smith had $1,518, Coun. Kroon had $1,501, Coun. Upton had $2,275, Coun. Bartley had $979 and Coun. Sherban had $1,694.
