Hey Newmarket, are you ready for a summer to remember?

After two years of event cancellations during the pandemic, the town has announced a return to large, in-person events with a full lineup of summer fun.

“Over the past two years, our community has continued to come together, while staying physically apart to demonstrate our strength, resiliency and commitment to each other during the most challenging circumstances,” Mayor John Taylor said.

“I am so proud of our collective efforts and now we get to celebrate, as a community, to experience the incredible vibrancy and magic of our special events that we have all missed so much. I can guarantee that many unforgettable memories will be created in Newmarket this summer.”

Here’s what residents can look forward to:

June is Pride Month. Newmarket celebrated its biggest and most colourful York Pride Parade yet in June 2019 and York Pride Fest is back for 2022. The town is strongly committed to being an inclusive community and welcomes everyone to once again unite to celebrate as one.
