Upgrades to the Unionville GO Station are expected to be completed by late spring, according to Metrolinx.
Crews are currently working on the west platform, staircases and elevators.
Dates for an upcoming major track closure for one to two weekends will be announced soon.
The improvements to the station are in preparation for the GO Expansion Project, which will provide two-way, all-day service on the Stouffville line.
Customers at the Unionville GO Station will have access to a new island platform and a relocated east platform with new snow-melting system, a second track, new parking spaces, more bicycle storage, new pedestrian tunnels, elevators, canopies, integrated shelters, pedestrian paths, easier ramp access to parking lots, improved signage, lighting and landscaping.
