The Town of Milton will spend more than $3.7 million this year to develop and enhance parks and green spaces.

This includes building one new park -- Walker Neighbourhood Park -- and upgrading two others, Baldwin Park and Chris Hadfield Park.

These parks are now in the design process, and community members will get to provide input this spring.

There are also three parks under construction: Cobban Neighbourhood Park, Omagh Park and Moorelands Park -- with expected completion dates ranging from spring to fall. The town is also upgrading various parks with community garden expansion, tennis court enhancements, drainage improvements and new in-ground waste containers.

“Investing in neighbourhood parks helps support our vision of being a thriving, green and inclusive community," said Mayor Gord Krantz. "By continuing to develop and improve parks, we are giving residents access to more green spaces, where they can be social, active and connect with nature."
