If you’re aged 55 or older and are wondering about health services and supports available in the community, Aurora’s Seniors’ Active Living Fair is for you.

The town is hosting the free event on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. over Zoom and using teleconference.

Attendees will be able to listen to healthy living seminars presented by industry experts.

The event kicks off with opening remarks and a presentation scams by York Regional Police on staying safe from scams.

At 10:15 a.m., there will be a chair exercise session.

This will get your mouth watering. At 11 a.m., enjoy a virtual tour of the Cadbury chocolate factory in Bournville, England.

At 1:15 p.m., you can learn how to navigate York Region’s health-care system during a presentation by CHATS (Community and Home Assistance to Seniors).

The day wraps up with a healthy cooking demonstration at 2:15 p.m. and trivia fun at 3:15 p.m.

The first 100 participants to register will receive a grab bag filled with healthy living information and a few fun treats.

The event is supported by the Aurora Seniors Association, the Older Adults Centres' Association of Ontario and the provincial government.
