York Region Public Health is hosting a number of child-friendly vaccination clinics for students and their families.

Children are welcome to bring their favourite teddy bear, stuffed toy or hand-held device.

First, second and booster doses are available at the clinics by appointment or for walk-ins. Walk-ins will be available based on clinic capacity.

Those five to 11-years-old require a parent or legal guardian’s consent at the time of vaccination. If unable to accompany their child to the appointment, parents or guardians can complete a consent form and send it with their child.

Vaccination clinics March 12 to 20:
March 15:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- Morning Glory Public School, 29478 Hwy. 48, Georgina;
• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- Islamic Society of Markham, 2900 Denison St., Markham.

March 16:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- Tommy Douglas Secondary School, 4020 Major Mackenzie Dr., west, Woodbridge, Vaughan.

March 17:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- St. Elizabeth Catholic High School, 525 New Westminster Dr., Thornhill, Vaughan.

March 18:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- King City Secondary School, 2001 King Rd., King City, King Township.

March 19:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- Sutton District High School, 20798 Dalton Rd., Sutton, Georgina.

March 20:

• 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. -- Oak Ridges Public School, 160 Coons Rd., Richmond Hill.

Appointment and walk-ins are also available at the following community clinics 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily:

• Aaniin Community Centre, 5665 14th Ave., Markham;
• Ray Twinney Recreation Complex, 100 Eagle St., west, Newmarket;
• Richmond Green Sports Centre, 1300 Elgin Mills Rd., east, Richmond Hill; and
• Maple Community Centre, 10190 Keele St., Maple, Vaughan.

The community clinic at the Georgina Ice Palace, 90 Wexford Dr., Keswick, is open Thursday to Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., but is closed March 18 and 19.
