The City of Richmond Hill is challenging you to take a 15-minute walk from your home for a chance to win a prize.

While you're out for a walk in your neighbourhood this month, take a look around at the features and amenities you have nearby.

Is there a coffee shop or corner store you can't live without? Do you wish there was a pharmacy or flower shop closer to home? Is there a park or piece of public art that you love?

Then take two to three minutes to tell the city about your experience, and you can enter a draw for a chance to win one of six $25 gift cards.

To enter, visit RichmondHill.ca/Walk15. The contest ends on March 31 at 4:30 p.m.

15-MINUTE COMMUNITIES

As part of the Official Plan Update, also known as City Plan 2041, Richmond Hill is aiming to create complete communities where residents can easily access amenities and services within a 15-minute walk from their homes.

Participating in this contest will help inform upcoming updates to the Official Plan, where city staff will be proposing changes to the Official Plan identified in the council-endorsed Key Directions report. These matters will relate to the City Plan 2041 vision, urban (city) structure, 15-minute community building, affordable housing, climate change and mobility.
