East Gwillimbury has removed pre-screening and proof of vaccination as requirements for entering town recreation facilities. The move was made effective March 1.

The town has also lifted the capacity limits in its facilities.

Face coverings and physical distancing requirements remain in place, except when actively participating in a recreation program.

Before you enter a facility, the town asks you to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms using the information posted at the facility entrance. If you are experiencing symptoms, please do not enter the facility; return home and contact your health care provider or local public health unit to see if you should self-isolate.

The move came after the province lifted many restrictions March 1.
