Vaughan will no longer require proof of vaccination for people wanting to access the city’s community centres as of March 1, in line with Ontario’s announcement on easing additional public health measures.
However, the city said that masks will continue to be mandatory when entering, exiting and travelling through the facilities, as well as for those watching or waiting for program participants.
However, when people are performing physical activities, they won't be required to wear masks.
Pre-registration is not required when visiting city fitness centres, but a membership key tag is required to gain access to the fitness centre.
To obtain a membership key tag, visit the customer service desk. Pre-registration and pre-payment are available for recreational drop-in activities, including swimming, aqua fitness, skating and sports, and can be done online at vaughan.perfectmind.com.
Vaughan city hall and the Joint Operations Centre remain closed to the public until further notice, in response to COVID-19.
