York Region is making improvements to Elgin Mills Road from Yonge Street to East of Newkirk Road in Richmond Hill. Residents are invited to take part in the first online open house at www.ElginMillsOpenHouse.ca to learn about the study, its process, findings to-date, next steps and to provide comments.

The region is conducting an Environmental Assessment Study for the improvements. The public and interested parties will have the opportunity to find out more about the project, proposed improvements and provide input and feedback through a survey and two open houses, which will be held throughout the study period.

This is an opportunity for local area residents, stakeholders and interested parties to provide input on how Elgin Mills Road should be improved to better meet the transportation needs of the community now and into the future.

Once input opportunities are complete, comments, concerns and feedback will be included in a final Environmental Study Report, which will be posted on York Region web page for a 45-day review period, at which time the study will then be deemed complete. The anticipated date of completion is Dec. 2022.

Individuals interested in receiving updates about the project via email can also request to be added to the project mailing list through Jackson.Marin@york.ca.
