Beaux Arts Gallery benchmark exhibition is back

Beaux Arts Brampton’s first show of the year is the long-awaited 13th Annual Open Juried Fine Art Exhibition juried by the renowned, international visual artist Olaf Schneider.

With entries from artists across the country and curated by the incredibly talented and highly creative, Regan Jane Hayward, this show is sure to captivate audiences in all of its visual splendour. The open theme asking artists to show the best of their talent provides this exhibit with something for everyone in its breadth of subject matter, mediums and styles.

This show runs from February 2 to April 2, 2022 in Beaux Arts’ new gallery space, located at 16 Queen St. E., in downtown Brampton.

“We are overwhelmed with excitement over the depth and breadth of this exhibition that has been successfully running for 13 years. Both our juror and curator had their work cut out for them with the record number of submissions. We can’t thank the artists enough!” says Gallery Chair Tyler Andrews and Operations Manager Josephine Condotta, who added that “during this exhibition, people can look forward to new and entertaining creative experiences to engage with the show!”

Juror Olaf Schneider studied at the Ontario College of Art as well as Sheridan College. Olaf’s artwork can be found in galleries across the United States and Canada, including Chloe Gallery in San Francisco; Emma Butler Gallery in St. John’s, N.L.; Palm Avenue Fine Art in Sarasota, Fla.; Tilting at Windmills Gallery in Manchester Center, Vt.; and Westmount Gallery in Toronto. Some of his solo exhibitions include Homer Watson Gallery and McMichael Gallery. He also won the first-place award in 2015 for International Artist Magazine.

Curator Regan Jane Hayward specializes in curatorial development and cultural arts management. A graduate of OCADU and Ryerson with on-going academic studies at University of Toronto, she holds membership with the Independent Curators Network in New York.

Regan serves as the Executive Director for Beaux Arts Gallery in downtown Brampton, the Gallery Chair for Headwaters Arts at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Caledon and an appointed Trustee of the Board at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Regan has a dedicated passion for the arts, artists, the creative industries and the evolving art markets in Canada and across the globe.
