Georgina to reopen town facilities, recreation programs resume Jan. 31

Georgina will start reopening town facilities and resume recreation programs following the province’s recent announcement on easing public health measures.
The town is taking a staggered approach to reopening its facilities.
Here is when town facilities will open:
Jan. 31:
Georgina Ice Palace and Sutton Arena;
Indoor dining resumes at the ROC chalet.
Feb. 1:
Georgina Gym and programming starts;
Feb. 7:
Georgina Leisure Pool; Club 55 Keswick; and Stephen Leacock Theatre.
Feb. 12:
all branches of the Georgina Public Library.
Public health and safety measures will continue to apply, including proof of vaccination, capacity limits and wearing a mask while indoor town facilities.
Residents are also required to complete a COVID-19 self-screening form prior to entering a facility. The form is to be filled out for every person entering the town facility for any purpose and for any length of time.
The Civic Centre remains closed to the public. Town staff can be reached Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 905-476-4301 or emailing info@georgina.ca.
