The City of Markham is hiring temporary workers for the vaccine clinic at the Aaniin Community Centre.

The clinic ramped up again as Public Health continues to roll out the CIVID-19 vaccine doses and booster shots.

The city is supporting the region’s efforts by hiring support staff for non-clinical roles at the clinic, such as greeters and screeners, appointment checkers, runners, line managers and check-in-out clerks.

Various shifts are available seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Successful applicants will be paid $24 per hour.

They will also be required to provide proof of full vaccination upon a conditional offer of employment in accordance with the city’s mandatory vaccination requirement for staff related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 7.
