If you shop in Newmarket this holiday season and beyond, you won’t only be supporting local businesses, you could also win one of three $500 shopping sprees.

The town and Newmarket Chamber of Commerce are partnering again on the Choose Local campaign, promising the program is bigger and better than ever.

“We’re grateful for the partnership,” chamber president Chris Emanuel said.

“It means that not only are we showcasing our terrific area businesses, but we’re also able to directly support the business community through our efforts.”

The campaign includes a contest, printed magazine, videos, online gift guides and business highlights.

“In your hunt for that perfect gift or that unique item for the person who has everything, there is no doubt a local Newmarket business has what you are looking for,” Mayor John Taylor said.

“Following pandemic lockdowns over the past almost two years, local small businesses could use our support. That’s why the town is excited to continue our partnership with the Chamber of Commerce on the Choose Local initiative. Using the Choose Local shopping directory makes it easy to find hundreds of homegrown businesses for all your holiday shopping.”

While there is a joy to be had just from supporting local businesses, to add an extra layer of encouragement, residents are invited to participate in a Choose Local contest for a chance to win one of three $500 shopping sprees in support of local businesses.

How to enter:

Each social post or survey is one entry. Participants may enter multiple times, with separate posts over the course of the contest.
