East Gwillimbury set to install seat warmers at Sports Complex for $50,000

In 2017 seat warmers were installed at the Atlas Arena and the town will now do the same at the New Roads Arena

Your bum could be a little warmer at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex. Council approved $50,000 for seat heaters to be installed at the New Roads Arena.

Both ice pads at the facility will now be equipped with warmers.

In 2017 seat heaters were installed at the Atlas arena spectator seating area with financial support from the East Gwillimbury Minor Hockey Association (EGMHA).

The project was approved in the Capital budget at $35,000 excluding tax. 

Town staff said they will explore opportunities with community stakeholders and potential corporate partners for financial support for the project.

It will be funded through the town's building reserve.
