During the winter break, there’s plenty to do in Georgina from public skating, swimming and drop-in basketball.

But there are some closures to keep in mind.

Here is a list of what’s open, what’s closed in Georgina around the winter holidays.

GEORGINA PUBLIC LIBRARY:

All three branches are closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan 1.

Georgina Civic Centre -- remains closed to the public.

Customer service will be limited between Dec. 20 and Jan. 3, with regular service resuming Jan. 4.

For emergencies about animal control, roads or water and wastewater, call 905-476-4301.

For municipal bylaws, call 905-476-4301 ext. 2281. Leave a message including the date, time and location of the violation and a bylaws officer will investigate.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING:

For the week of Dec. 27, recycling collection will move one day later. For the week of Jan. 3, recycling collection will move one day later.

Christmas tree collection will be the week of Jan. 10 on your regular collection day.

GEORGINA LEISURE POOL:

Drop-in programs end at noon.

Pool is closed all day Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1

Georgina Gym, Georgina Ice Palace and Georgina Sutton Arena:

Closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31, and Jan. 1

THE ROC:

Once open, it will be open daily 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Jan. 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
