In an effort to boost vaccine rates and increase access to vaccines, York Region Public Health is hosting a series of walk-in, pop-up and community vaccination clinics.

Pop-up and community clinics are open for walk-ins for both first or second doses, as well as appointments.

Booster vaccines are available by appointment only.

Those eligible for booster vaccines include those 50-years and older and received their second vaccine least three months (84 days) ago; long-term care and retirement home staff; First Nation, Inuit and Metis adults.

Those 18- to 49-year-olds are encouraged to visit a local pharmacy or book an appointment through the provincial vaccine booking system.

Community clinics are offering Pfizer for those 12-years (born in 2009) and older and Moderna to those 25-years and older.
