York Region Transit service changes take effect over the holidays and as of January 2, 2022

York Region Transit (YRT) service changes will take place on Sunday, December 19, 2021 and on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Schedule and route changes will be made to adjust for the holiday season, changing customer demand and alignment with school start and end times.Route highlights for holiday service changes effective Sunday, December 19, 2021 include:

• High School Specials suspended during the holiday break
• Route 760 -- Vaughan Mills/Wonderland seasonal adjustments to correspond with Vaughan Mills Mall’s hours of operation during the holidays
• Service will be extended on select routes until approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021

Route highlights for service changes effective Sunday, January 2, 2022 include:

• Route 435 -- St. Maximilian Kolbe School Special will be discontinued with increased frequency on Route 54 -- Bayview which will offer connections to start and end times at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic High School
• Route 436 -- Cardinal Carter School Special via Parker will be introduced to provide connections with the start and end times at Cardinal Carter Catholic High School
• Route 471 -- Stephen Lewis School Special via Langstaff Secondary School Special will be introduced to provide connections at Langstaff Secondary School and Stephen Lewis Secondary School
