It's time to buy your 2022 Richmond Hill dog licence

The City of Richmond Hill's 2022 dog licences are now available for purchase. Annual dog licences that expire Dec. 31, are cost effective and easy to get. You can purchase or renew your dog licence quickly and conveniently:

• Online through RichmondHill.ca/DogLicence

• In person at: Our Municipal Office (225 East Beaver Creek Road); Select Richmond Hill Community Centres; Select pet stores and veterinarian clinics

A complete list of locations is available online. Please note, some facilities may be closed or operating on reduced hours during the holidays -- view the holiday service schedule.

Licensing Your Dog Has Its Benefits!

Licensing your dog automatically enrolls your dog into the city's "Free-Ride Home" program should he or she get lost, and grants your dog access to the city's off-leash dog areas. It is also part of responsible dog ownership and helps cover municipal animal services costs, including:

• Providing emergency care for sheltered animals in the community

• Rescuing sick, injured and/or distressed domestic animals and wildlife

• Investigating animal care and dangerous issues
