Aurora unveils 450-tile community mural at town hall

Aurora has unveiled a mural created by the community as part of the 2021 Canada Day Festivities.

The mural, in the stairwell between the second and third floors of the town hall, was presented publicly on Dec. 13.

It consists of 450 individual tiles which have been transformed into an eight-foot by eight-foot mosaic.

“What a beautiful sight as the mosaic mural ‘Stronger Together’ has been installed at the town hall,” Mayor Tom Mrakas posted on Facebook.

“This 450-tile artwork project, created by the community and for the community as a reminder of us pulling through the pandemic, will be hanging in the town hall for all to see.”
