The Town of Newmarket is inviting the public to take a look at its plans to reconstruct McCaffrey Road.

The municipality is hosting a virtual public information session Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. The town plans to rebuild most of the road, including its base. Town staff will present, with time for the public to ask questions about the project during the meeting.

Ward Councillor Christina Bisanz encouraged area residents to participate.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to come online via Zoom and hear from staff about what the plans are, the schedule for the work, and what they can anticipate will take place,” she said during a Dec. 13 council meeting.

The work will also include portions of Eagle Street (between Yonge and Millard), Rannie Road (to Rita’s Avenue), Keith Avenue, Rhodes Circle and Doyle Court. The town will replace asphalt and repair damaged curbs and sidewalks on those streets.

You can attend the meeting online via Zoom, through meeting ID 926 7613 922, password 071409. You can also call 647-558-0588 to access the meeting with that information.

Details are available on the town website. If you cannot attend the meeting or have questions, you can also contact Anthony Riley at ariley@newmarket.ca
