Three Vaughan businesses were issued fines by the Region of York’s COVID-19 enforcement task force from Nov. 15 to 28 under the Reopening Ontario Act.

The businesses accounted for four of the six charges across York Region by the task force for the two-week period.

Details of two incidents in which charges were applied by York Region Transit were not disclosed.

In total, task force members conducted 455 inspections at locations across York Region during the 14-day period. There were also 456 compliance education activities conducted.

The charges are part of an ongoing effort to ensure businesses are in compliance with current public health regulations and restrictions. The results are listed in a biweekly report issued by the Region of York.
