Richmond Hill brings fun to the outdoors this winter

Get ready to have fun in your own backyard this winter! Richmond Hill has several activities and events planned to get people outside exploring their own city.

Winter Lights -- New this year is a magical display of lights for all ages to enjoy! Stroll through the Richmond Green Heritage Walkway to enjoy trees lit for the season. On now through winter.

Light Up Richmond Hill Contest -- Submit a photo of your decorated home and/or business to the city's website for a chance to win a prize pack. Contest runs Nov. 13 to Dec. 10. Contest details -- RichmondHill.ca/WinterFun.

Skate outdoors -- Richmond Green Skate Trail is expected to open mid-December (weather permitting). The city plans to offer additional outdoor skating opportunities in the new year if weather permits. Subscribe for updates -- RichmondHill.ca/OutdoorSkating.

Ring in the new year -- Join us for First Night, a virtual fun-filled family celebration from 8 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 31. This year's event includes musical performances, activities and more! -- RichmondHill.ca/FirstNight.
