While everybody is placing their Amazon orders this Christmas, there are some options for shopping local this holiday season.

The #EGLovesLocal holiday gift box is nice way to get your gifts for someone special while shopping locally with a curated collection of products from businesses in East Gwillimbury. The initiative is a partnership between the town and the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce.

Every box has:

• Lighthouse Cafe’s very own chocolate fudge hot cocoa mix with assorted marshmallows
• A handmade plantable holiday card embedded with wildflower seeds from Write It Out Loud
• Sharon Orchards’ signature apple butter made from hand picked locally grown apples
• An engraved wooden winter ornament and 10 per cent shop coupon from Cheshire Games and Gifts
• Skin RnR’s nourishing, all-natural, and plant-based peppermint BIG lip balm
• A handmade all-natural soap bar from Artisan Baths
• Two admission tickets to Niemi Family Farm’s Scandinavian Christmas market and a festive gnome
• A happy hippo invigorating bath bomb and salon offer from Tangles Hair Salon

 

There are also additional coupons in the box. You can place your orders at the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce’s website at egcoc.org. The box costs $47 plus tax with an estimated value of more than $100. The chamber is asking you to make your orders by Monday, Dec. 6.
