York Region Public Health announced Nov. 23 that bookings are now open for COVID-19 vaccines for 5- to 11-year-olds.
"Appointments are required," York Region added. "Please be patient when booking online and if you have trouble accessing our page, we encourage you to try again later."

It also gave further information on who is eligible for the first and the second doses.
Children five (or turning 5 in 2021) to 11 years old are eligible for their first doses of the pediatric vaccine.
Everyone born in 2009 and later is eligible for their first or second shots of the regular vaccines.
Appointment for second doses must be at least eight weeks after a first dose of the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines.
The day before the announcement, York Catholic District School Board said that it's "aware" of "rumours and misinformation" over school-based COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children aged 5 to 11.
The board said YCDSB clinics will be held in a few secondary schools only and that all clinics will be held outside school hours, such as on weekends.
It also said parent consent is required for five-to-11-year-old children to be vaccinated.
