York Region police charges motorist with ‘careless driving’ after three-car collision leaves three hospitalized

Three people are hospitalized after a three-vehicle collision in King Township Sunday, Nov. 21 afternoon, said York Regional Police’s inspector Stu Garner.

One of the motorists was charged with “careless driving,” Garner added.

The incident has led to road closure earlier at Hwy. 27 between 15th and 16th streets, but now traffic is back operating as usual.

While traffic volume and collision rates were down 40 per cent in 2020 in comparison to 2019, 2021 witnessed two deadly traffic accidents that saw children as victims.

This has led the municipality of Vaughan to reduce speed to 30 km/h on all public laneways effective Dec. 15.
