More than 95 per cent of Town of Aurora staff have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the municipality says.

All employees were required to show proof of full vaccination by Nov. 1.

In an email, the town said 98 per cent of workers disclosed their vaccination status and 96 per cent report being fully vaccinated.

Another two per cent said they are partially vaccinated.

Nine employees either didn’t disclose their status or said they were not vaccinated, the town email said.

“Individuals with valid medical or other human rights-based exemptions will be considered for appropriate accommodation within the policy,” the email said.

“If proof of vaccination or plan to comply is not received within a specific period of time, the employee will be terminated as per the town’s policy.”
