If you’ve got a parking ticket, you’re probably pretty upset.

But here’s a way to feel better and put a smile on a child’s face.

Aurora Bylaw Services has partnered with York Regional Police for their annual Toys for Tickets campaign.

In the spirit of the holiday season, parking tickets issued from Nov. 15 to Dec. 13 can be paid for by donating a new, unwrapped toy or food donation of equal or greater value to the penalty of your parking ticket.

All toys, food donations and gift cards will be collected for the police department’s Holiday Heroes campaign.

Conditions apply.
