An overnight fire caused extensive damage to a Vaughan business, York Regional Police Duty Insp. Andree Vincent said.

Emergency crews responded to the blaze at Moon Spa on Hwy. 7 between Martin Grove Road and Hwy. 27 on Oct. 6 at about 3:40 a.m., she said.

“Smoke and flames were seen. The damage is extensive,” Vincent said.

Nobody was in the store at the time and there are no injuries, she said.

Police shut down eastbound Hwy. 7 briefly while firefighters fought the fire but have since reopened the road, Vincent said.
