Richmond Hill recruiting council compensation review committee for 2022-2026 term of office

The City of Richmond Hill is seeking to appoint five citizens to its Council Compensation Review Committee, two of which are business representatives from within the business community.

The deadline for application is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021.

The committee's mandate is to produce an independent report with recommendations regarding the total compensation for members of council for the next term of office that commences following the 2022 municipal election. The committee's term expires upon council's acceptance of the committee's final report.

To apply for appointment, please complete the online application form. Applications will be accepted until the deadline.

Eligible applicants may be interviewed and appointed by a staff panel consisting of the commissioner of corporate and financial services, the director of human resources, and the director of legislative services/city clerk. Members of council will make no appointments to the committee.
