Pop-up and school-based vaccine clinics offered in Newmarket

Two COVID-19 vaccine clinics are coming to Newmarket, including a school-based clinic.

On Saturday, Sept. 11, a pop-in clinic will be held at Upper Canada Mall at 17600 Yonge St. from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Walk-ins for first and second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.

On Monday, Sept. 13, a clinic is operating at Sir William Mulock Secondary School at 705 Columbus Way from 4 to 7 p.m.

As well as clinic at Sir William Mulock, other school-based vaccine clinics will take place in the next week as students begin the new school year, including: 

Monday, Sept. 13 at Sutton District High School, 20798 Dalton Rd. from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Keswick High School and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic College High School, both in Georgina, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The school-based clinics are intended to make vaccines accessible for teachers, students, and families.

To date, 84.2 per cent of York Region residents aged 12 and older have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination dose and 79.1 per cent have been fully vaccinated.
