Vaughan Public Libraries’ community branches reopened Tuesday, Sept. 7 with “extended hours of operation,” the city said in a media release.

The reopening means VPL’s curbside pickup program has come to an end after seeing more than 2.4 million items borrowed since the beginning of the pandemic.

“This comes following the June 14 reopening of the three resource library branches, which have since welcomed an average of 8,500 customers each week,” the city said.

The community branches include: Ansley Grove Library, Bathurst Clark Resource Library, Civic Centre Resource Library, Dufferin Clark Library, Kleinburg Library, Mackenzie Health Vaughan Library, Pierre Berton Resource Library, Pleasant Ridge Library, Vellore Village Library and Woodbridge Library.

However, Maple Library remains closed due to renovations.

Effective Sept. 7, all libraries in Vaughan, with the exception of the Kleinburg Library, will be open:
