The developer of a highrise apartment building currently under construction near Bayview and Elgin Mills Road East in Richmond Hill has applied to increase its permitted height from 10 to 14 storeys.
A public meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, at 7:30 PM to notify the public and receive comments on the following applications.

What: A request has been received to amend the Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw for lands on the addresses above. The subject lands have frontages of approximately 16.3 metres (53.48 feet) along Elgin Mills Road East, approximately 55.26 metres (181.29 feet) along Saigon Drive and approximately 95.86 metres (314.50 feet) along Nannyberry Street, and a total area of 3.85 hectares (9.52 acres).
The Official Plan Amendment application proposes to increase the permitted height of an approved highrise apartment building (Building "B") from 10 to 14 storeys on the subject lands, consisting of 174 dwelling units and a gross floor area of 14,591 square metres (157,056.22 square feet).
The Zoning Bylaw Amendment application proposes to amend Zoning Bylaw 55-15, as amended, by amending the site-specific development standards within the existing "Multiple Residential Ten (RM10) Zone" to implement the revised development proposal on the subject lands.
What next: Any person, subject to the notice regarding the COVID-19 Emergency, may attend the meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment.
