Vaughan residents who want to access city facilities or join fall recreation programs must be vaccinated

The City of Vaughan said in a Sept. 15 release that residents who want to use its facilities or plan to participate in the upcoming fall recreation programs must be fully vaccinated as of Sept. 22.

Those who intend to use the city’s indoor premises for sports and recreational fitness activities must show proof of vaccination and proof of identification unless they qualify for an exemption.

“Individuals with a medical exemption are required to present identification and appropriate written documentation from a medical doctor or qualified registered nurse stating the individual is exempt for a medical reason,” the city said.

“The approach for how exemptions will be processed is still being determined by the city. Updates will be shared as available,” it added.
